5 minute elevator speech: In the beginning, we started as a consulting company but today, we are a collection of brands and companies that own equity partnerships. We take brands and companies from any stage in the supply chain and bring them to transaction (at the end user level).

It is a unique journey we've been on, here is a little more about it:

ENALAS began when my sister suggested I become an entrepreneur who helped people in some way. At our family’s weekly Sunday brunch, we brainstormed how we might best serve others through our vocational lives. Elizabeth, who even names my cars, coined the Company name ENALAS – Everyone Needs A Little Assistance Sometimes. Attentiveness to Elizabeth’s experiences awakened me to the need for greater compassion for those who suffer and inspired simple acts of service as a way of standing in solidarity with those who bear heavy burdens. Elizabeth was diagnosed in early childhood with degenerative autoimmune disease, and my dad designed and made unique assistive devices for her. This thought continued to be a topic of conversation for years to come as I worked through graduate school, and then spent 7 years in corporate America at a large distribution company. It was during this time, at a company I loved, I realized I wanted to be that entrepreneur. That entrepreneur Elizabeth and I talked about, who was driven by things other than what the standard equity firms stood for.

So in 2012 I took the leap. I started ENALAS, by myself in the middle of downtown Rochester, NY, in an old grinding facility that had a lease of less than $2/sqft. We salvaged a container of goods, worked day and night to build a boot strapping distribution center that used analytics to design products and take them to market.

In the beginning we focused on being a consulting company that did both marketing, and supply chain fulfillment of small companies and brands. As we grew and our partnerships and relationships developed, we started our own equity endeavors. Today, we have our own portfolio of brands and companies that we assist from the manufacturing floor to the end user in a variety of different channels that we manage and operate.
